Yard Sale Signs which attract the most attention
The old saying "One man's garbage is another man's treasure" certainly holds true when it comes to Yard Sales.
Having a neat easy to read yard sale sign can increase sales which will help you clear out unwanted or unused items that are still in good condition and help you put a few extra dollars in your pocket at the same time.Yard sales can be a lot of work but when you look at all of the excess clutter laying around your home and yard you know that there is value to your personal items and that someone else may be able to use them. You would spend the same amount of energy throwing these items in the trash or stuffing them in the back of the shed, spare room or garage but would not make any money doing so. One way you can get rid of these items is you could put the items on Craig's list, create a facebook event page, or you can do it the old fashioned way and have a yard sale. Yard Sales can be fun and interesting. You get to meet people who live in your area, haggle for a good price, make money and clear out the junk at the same time! So that being said and once you make up your mind you are going to have a sale, you will need to start thinking about making or buying signs that will attract the most attention.

Three Best Tips for "Attention Getting" Yard Sale Signs
Signs which have neat, large, thick lettering
Use white poster board or purchase signs with white backgrounds and bright lettering
Use bright colored balloons, streamers, or flags
Use white poster board or purchase signs with white backgrounds and bright lettering
Use bright colored balloons, streamers, or flags
Adding Flags, Streamers or Balloons Will Grab People's Attention But You Need to Know This...
If you decide to use flags, streamers, or balloons on your signs, you need to make sure they are securely attached and that they do not reach out into traffic where they could cause an accident. You should have someone periodically check your signs to make sure they are still intact.
Placement is Everything When It Comes to Yard Sale Signs
Place your signs in an area where there is a lot of traffic. Ask your local grocers and store owners if they have a bulletin board, wall, or window where you put a flyer or sign. Make sure you have your address on every sign and that the letters are large enough to read from a distance. A good rule of thumb-if you can clearly read your sign from across the street then your lettering is good. Put arrows on your signs pointing the direction people need to go because some folks don't read the address but will follow arrows, balloons, flags, steamers, and signs that lead to your sale. Do not attach your signs to telephone poles or street signs-you could get in a bit of trouble with your local police, not to mention they will usually remove your signs and throw them in the trash. Make sure your signs are staked down so that they do not blow away. Do not put signs on businesses without their permission.
Don't Forget to Remove Your Signs After Your Sale is Over
After your sale is over, make sure you go take down all of your signs, banners, flyers, balloons, flags, streamers, facebook event page, craigslist ads,and anything else that is advertising your sale.
