Ways to Get and Stay healthy

Getting and staying healthy means taking care of your mind, spirit, and body. Taking care of your body means getting the right amount of vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and exercise, so you can look, feel, and do your best.
Your body needs the right vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to stay healthy. Vitamin supplements can help you stay healthy but your body actually processes vitamins, minerals and nutrients better in the food you eat. Eating healthy food is an essential element if you wish to get or stay healthy. Studies show that people who eat healthy food have less health issues, more energy, and feel better emotionally. Eating healthy may mean changing the way you eat, such as, eating home cooked meals rather than fast food, or dining out. Eating foods rich in vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and fiber will give you more energy to do the things you want and like to do. Eating a combination of the five basic food groups combined with a regular exercise routine and daily vitamins can make you feel healthier, happier, and live longer (Healthfinder.gov).
