Six Spring Cleaning Tips
Tip # 1
Make a cleaning plan
Decide which room you want to clean first, second, third, etc. Plan your cleaning activities, such as, start by removing clutter. Remove everything from the room that really doesn't need to be there. This will make your cleaning chores easier and inspire you to keep going.
Tip # 2
Let some fresh air in
The first thing you should do is open up all your windows and let that old stale air out of your house and you will let some fresh air in that will get you in the mood for tidying up.
Tip# 3
Get your cleaning supplies ready
Decide which cleaning supplies you will need to clean the room and put them in a cleaning caddy, basket or bucket. There is no sense carrying around a bunch of cleaning supplies you won't be using that day but make sure you have everything you do need.
Tip #4
Do the hardest tasks first
Do the hardest tasks first when your energy levels are highest. As you clean your energy levels will lower so it is a good idea to save the easiest tasks for last.
Tip # 5
Don't try to do everything at once
Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up with a huge, overwhelming mess. Section the room out starting behind furniture, in closets, cupboards, or pantries. Dust before you clean windows or floors.
Tip # 6
Box items you have not used in the last year
Gather items you have not used in the last year and decide which items you can do without but are still in good shape. Box items you don't need anymore and save them for a rummage sale or give them to a local charity to distribute to the less unfortunate. Box seasonal items and store them. Label the boxes so you know what is in them without opening them.
