You should eat something from the five basic food groups every day if you plan to get or stay healthy. The five basic food groups should become an important part in your meal planning. According the USDA the five basic food groups are the building blocks you can use to maintain a healthy diet.
The five basic food groups are:
Dairy products
Fruits
Grains
Proteins
Vegetables
