Why making your own seed pots is a great "Green" idea...
Recycling old newspapers means less trash going to the dump which means you pay less on your garbage removal and saves much tax dollars at the landfill. If you get one newspaper a day (six days a week) and that newspaper weighs 1/2 lb that saves 3 lb's a week on landfill costs for just one person.
This does not sound like much but add it up in a month that is 12 lb's of paper!
In a year, it would total 156 lbs less trash on your garbage removal bill and that same amount less in the dumps & landfill's.
Now, multiply that times ten people. If ten people reuse their old newspaper's whether for starting pots, mulch, or other creative uses that would save 1,560 lbs of waste in the dumps and landfill's in one year. I could keep going but you get my point.
