How to Change Your Bathroom Faucet-Step by Step Instructions
It is best to get a bathroom repair book before you attempt changing your faucet. Many faucets come with instructions but some do not. However, if you don't have access to a book or instructions for whatever reasons the following step by step instructions should be very helpful.
1. Shut off the water going to the faucet
Most sinks have shut off valves on the water line below the sink. Turn the shut off valve off before you start.
2. Remove the old washer's and water lines under the sink
3. Clean any debris, old caulk or pipe glue.
4. Wait until dry
5. Set the faucet in place
6. Put the new washer's and fittings on
7. Turn the water back on (low at first) to make sure there are no leaks.
Tip: Put an old dish tub under the area where you are working to catch any water that may be left in the lines.
