Emotional Health Tips
There are several ways to improve your emotional health such as reducing stress levels by avoiding things and people who cause you stress, getting the right amount of sunlight, eating healthy, focusing on positive things rather than negative, and doing things that give you a sense of accomplishment. The less stress you subject yourself to the less emotional distress, and physical health issues you will have. Write down the things that are causing you emotional stress, then focus on one thing at a time and try to brainstorm at least five possible solutions for each one. Look at your list again, one item at a time. Of your possible five solutions which ones do you think you can actually accomplish? Cross out the possible solutions you know you cannot accomplish and circle the one's you think you may be able to accomplish. Set a date for each topic for when you plan to start implementing your possible solutions. Everyone has problems, you are not alone. How you deal with problems, stress, and stressful people can make a huge difference in your emotional and physical health. Taking time out of each day to pray and read the Bible has been shown to significantly reduce stress levels. Enjoying a productive hobby such as gardening, raising chickens, crocheting, knitting, sewing, or building things can give you a sense of accomplishment and relieve much emotional stress. Reading books that are non violent can take your mind off stressful things.
